Manufacturing

Manufacturing

Learn about the future of manufacturing. Our courses will introduce you to the basic knowledge of engineering processes and design. You will learn about product design using multiple principles that include:

  • Mechanics
  • Electronics
  • Engineering
  • Robotics

Smart factories advance manufacturing efficiency through connected systems. Cyber-physical systems use computers, networking and physical processes. Augmented reality, additive manufacturing, remote regulation, and control using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) will continue to advance manufacturing where products are built to a customer’s specific tastes.

Learn additional skills like:

  • 3D Printing
  • Augmented reality
  • Automation control

PimaFastTrack is a new way to go to college. It's built for adult learners who want to quickly get industry-recognized skills. Through PimaFastTrack, you can work full-time, raise a family, and learn today's in-demand skills for a new career.

Product Test Specialist

Communication Systems

This occupation is responsible for functional and operational tests on electronic, pneumatic and/or mechanical production items on engineering hardware. Through hands-on practice interpret specifications, fabricate, assemble, troubleshoot and repair components.  This innovation technology is a career that can take you places.

Electronic Measurements

Gain experience that demonstrates knowledge of electronic principles involved in measurement of voltage, current, impedance, frequency,… using precision instruments and standards.  You will learn to set up system tests with various types of test equipment, isolate faults by taking measurements.

Solid State Devices and Circuits I

An introduction to semiconductor fundamentals and applications to the electronic device.  You will learn analog circuit analysis and design.  The tools and methods needed to create useful circuits. Techniques studied can also be applied to circuits using JFETs, MOSFETs, MESFETs, exotic devices or even vacuum tubes.

Circuit Analysis I

This first course in circuit analysis provides a solid theoretical and practical foundation for electronics, digital systems design, microprocessors, signals and systems, analog/digital communications and control theory.  Due to the rapid advancement in technology, this course provides the common language for working on multiple projects.

Circuit Analysis II

Build upon the practical foundation knowledge in Circuit Analysis I by continuing to understand complex circuits and begin to apply the knowledge to increase confidence that the circuit will perform to specifications.  Create, troubleshoot, repair and use mathematical tools and techniques to find unknown elements of a circuit from known elements and the configuration.
