Automotive Technology

Automotive Technology

Remain competitive with changing jobs and apply what you learn immediately without relocating. Automotive technology is increasingly complex and most employers prefer hiring individuals who have some formal training. This is just one advantage to students in earning a certificate or successfully completing individual courses.

Pima County has consistently had automotive technician jobs available at dealers and mechanic shops. Wages average $25 to $30 per hour depending upon education, certification and/or experience.  Our students have increased interest from area employers and are more likely to secure a position with greater responsibilities after completing formal training.
